Dr. Jamie Laity
Dr. Jamie Laity knew from a very early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She has over a decade of experience practicing as a small animal veterinarian in North Carolina. Dr. Laity started her career with an internship at a busy Charlotte practice, then became the intern director until she decided to open her own practice. Dr. Laity is proud to have opened and managed the first Fear Free Certified and AAHA accredited hospital outside of Charlotte. Now, she is excited to offer a different side of veterinary medicine - bringing wellness care to you!
Dr. Laity grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and after high school, moved to Lexington, KY to pursue her passion for horses. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky (GO BIG BLUE!) and then promptly moved to Athens, GA to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at UGA. While at UGA, she found her love for small animal medicine and decided to pursue a career as a general practitioner.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Laity spends most of her time on preventative medicine - helping your pet live its best life! Dr. Laity is passionate about Fear Free medicine and this new venture in becoming a house call veterinarian allows her to provide top notch medical care to your furry family members in their most comfortable environment.

Dr. Austin Whitlark
Dr. Austin Whitlark is a proud Charlotte native and graduate of NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned top honors and received multiple awards for both academic and clinical excellence. She went on to complete an intensive internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Carolina Veterinary Specialists.
With over a decade of experience in local private practices and mobile veterinary care, Dr. Whitlark brings a unique blend of skill, empathy, and dedication to every visit. She is an Elite Fear Free Certified Professional—trained to help pets feel calm and safe during their care—and is especially passionate about reaching pets who might otherwise struggle to access veterinary services.
After discovering the difference that home visits can make for pets and their people, Dr. Whitlark knew she had found her calling. She’s committed to practicing where pets are most comfortable: at home, surrounded by the people they love.
Her professional interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology, feline and geriatric care, and of course, Fear Free handling for all patients. When she’s not working, you’ll find her hiking and kayaking with her family and their rescue pup, Pilot, or at home cuddling with Biscuit, their rescue cat from Asheville (and self-appointed nap supervisor). Dr. Whitlark also has a soft spot for North Carolina’s native box turtles—she spent years treating them through the Turtle Rescue Team at NC State and continues to foster turtles to this day.
